A few weeks ago, we went up to the Chicago area for my niece's first birthday. We decided to stay a few days to make the most of our visit. The kids are riding rides at Homewood Days, a festival in the town where I grew up. The pictures of the kids with the grandparents were taken at Elena's first birthday party. (I swear Xavier is not naked...he had just gotten out of the pool.) She thoroughly enjoyed her cake!
