During our stay, we visited the Brookfield Zoo, which was something we did at least once or twice a summer as a kid. We went last year, too, and have never made it through everything in the zoo in a day. We tried to see the exhibits and animals that aren't available at our zoo. This year, they had a special dinosaur exhibit. The dinosaurs moved and roared, which freaked Xavier out at first, but he loved it.
We have also made it a yearly event to visit the benches in Tinley Park that are decorated with a theme every year. One year it was games, and this year it was Classic TV shows. They had a Spiderman and a Batman bench, which thrilled Xavier. Aubrey fell asleep halfway through the walk, so she wasn't as impressed.
