On Wednesday, we were able to get together with my former teaching partner-in-crime, Michele. She and her family now live in Illinois, but her husband had a business trip in Lafayette, so she and her boys accompanied him, and we met at the mall. Andrew and Ben, her sons, are in the front. We were thankful there was a play area so we could talk while the energetic boys played. Although Ben is closer to his age, Xavier really loved Andrew. We are hoping to visit them in April, when we will be attending a family wedding near their home.

Look at those handsome boys! Mine look sickly. . .turns out at least one was! Ugh! We're still fighting an ear infection.
